You don't have to be a millionaire to feel like one.
This is the view from my camp tonight. The last low rays of sunset look awfully pretty illuminating the cliffs on Great Barrier Island, don't they?
Behind me, I've hitched one end of the hammock to a piece of driftwood. I've staked out the other end and the fly corners to home-made tent pegs, which I have carved from the the same driftwood and pounded down deep into wet sand.
Those stakes won't shift, no matter how hard the wind blows.
It may not look like much but I know I'll sleep well tonight. It's a taut camp.
Tonight, it's my home on Millionaire's Row.
I'm looking forward to seeing the sun rise behind the island tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow will be another fine day on the trail.
